National Cancer Research Institute – Portfolio Maps
The introduction to the NCRI‘s Portfolio Map resource states:
The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Clinical Studies Groups’ (CSG)* portfolio maps were created to provide a visual representation of a CSG’s current research activity and are comprised of studies that are open and recruiting and those funded and in set-up. Studies that are closed to recruitment or in development without secured funding will not appear on the portfolio maps. Only studies found on the United Kingdom Clinical Research Network (UKCRN) database of studies will appear on the portfolio maps, which includes studies adopted by the National Institute for Health Research Cancer Research Network (NCRN) and studies added by the devolved nations. The maps were developed by the CSG Research Project Officers in collaboration with the NCRI CSGs and NCRN. They are updated on a monthly basis and are available to download below.
Editable Microsoft Visio versions of the maps are available on the NIHR portal, however, we would request that all edited versions retain the “developed by the NCRI CSGs and NCRN” statement. If you require access to the NIHR portal, please email Leigh Oates, NCRN Information Systems Manager, on l.oates@ncrn.org.uk.
Current users of the maps include the CSGs, NCRN Research Network Managers, Multiple Disciplinary Teams, funding bodies (such as Cancer Research UK’s Clinical Trials Awards and Advisory Committee) and the NCRN Industry Trials Adoption Committee.
If you have any questions regarding the maps, please contact Katy (katy.coxon@cancer.org.uk) or Jenny (jennifer.lewandowski@cancer.org.uk).
