Big Give Christmas Challenge 2019

Melanoma Focus is delighted to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2019.  Our huge thanks go to our supporters who have pledged an amazing £5750 to match fund online donations received during the campaign week (3-10 December):

Breheny Civil Engineering, BALPA, ECA, Ann Pettengell, Dr Mark Harries and Big Give Champion, The Reed Foundation UK

The challenge is on!

We now need to raise £5750 to make £11,500 by 12pm on 10 December…

Please Donate via The Big Give

Donations will be matched as long as funds last between 3-10 December.

One Week. One donation, twice the impact.

This is a fantastic opportunity for supporters to double the value of their donation over the campaign period, enabling an even greater contribution to the work of the charity.

In addition to our existing projects, the Melanoma Helpline 0808 801 0777, Patient Decision Aid, National Melanoma Database, Research Programmes, National Clinical Guidelines, Melanoma Meetings and Raising Awareness:

Melanoma Focus will be launching the new TrialFinder database     in 2020

Our new online database will give comprehensive information about NHS-funded and commercial clinical trials for melanoma.

There will be two versions, one for patients and their carers and a second specifically for healthcare professionals for use by GPs and clinicians needing to advise their patients about the choice and location of trials.

Cancer clinicians and patient groups believe that all melanoma patients should be offered the opportunity to take part in a suitable clinical trial where possible.  Having a complete and, above all, reliable source of information will greatly improve the ability of patients and their doctors to discuss the feasibility of taking part in trials. In time this will increase patient participation in melanoma trials and help both melanoma research and patient outcomes.

Please help us fund the Melanoma TrialFinder, new and innovative research and our other melanoma projects

Thank you
