Specialist Committees

In addition to the Trustees, Melanoma Focus has three specialist committees responsible for overseeing and monitoring specific activities of the charity.

The Scientific Committee’s role is to review the quality and appropriateness of submissions with a scientific content made to the charity and oversee the disbursement of funds for research projects. It also advises on the scientific aspects of other activities of the charity, such as the annual meetings.

The Data Management Committee manages the charity’s Melanoma Database Project, including the relationship between Melanoma Focus and its partner Icarsis Limited, and the rolling out of the project in the Hospital Trusts.
