Woburn Abbey Triathlon

Join us for the Woburn Abbey Triathlon – 9 & 10 September 2017

Last year we were delighted to be selected as one of the main charity partners for the reknown Woburn Abbey Triathlon.

Firmly on the triathlon bucket-list this event is famed for it’s family friendly atmosphere, with plenty of fun activities to entertain supporters between cheers.

More experienced triathlete’s will want to tick off The Olympic Distance or even the WoBurner middle distance (half an Ironman!)

But this event is also ideal for anyone who has never taken on a triathlon before. The supportive and friendly atmosphere will have you achieveing something you never thought was possible!

Our Early Bird Entry places are now Sold Out. But we still have a few remaining charity place on our Melanoma Focus team for just £25*.

Options for first-timers and those not ready for the Olympic distance are:

The SuperSprint400m Swim, 10km Bike, 2.5km Run (Sunday)

The Sprint – 800m Swim, 20km Bike, 5km Run (Sunday)

Even those with only basic fitness can train for these in 8 weeks – check out some training plans here.

Or if you are looking for a little more challenge…

The Olympic Distance1500m Swim, 40km Bike, 10km Run. A must-do for every seasoned triathlete.

The ‘WoBurner’ middle distance – 1900m Swim, 90km Bike, 21.1km Run. Up your game and take your challenge to a new level with this seriously tough event. *Entry fee £100. Event takes place on Saturday, with registration and briefing on Friday 8 September.

And if running, cycling and swimming sounds too much, we have some spaces on our relay teams – just tell us which bit of the course you would like to take on and we will do our best to match you to a team.

Never too young to ‘tri’

The event also offer junior triathlon waves and scootathlon options for the little ones – so everyone can take part! *All on Sunday!

  • Junior Triathlon (ages 13 to 16 years): 300m Swim, 10.5km Bike, 2.5km Run – Check for remaining availability
  • Junior Triathlon (ages 9 to 12 years): 100m Swim, 3km Bike, 1km Run – Check for remaining availability
  • Scootathlon (ages 4-8): 400m Scoot, 400m Bike, 150m Run – SOLD OUT

Rules

British TriathlonBritish Triathlon Federation: The Woburn Abbey Triathlon is governed by the British Triathlon Federation. All entrants are required to abide by all applicable British Triathlon rules and regulations, which can be read in the BTF Rulebook.

British Triathlon Federation membership fee: If you are not a current member of Triathlon England, Triathlon Scotland or the Welsh Triathlon Association, you will be liable to pay a £6 day membership fee at registration (£3 for Youth & Juniors). Regret cash only, no credit cards. Please show your race licence at registration.

Insurance

Whilst having a BTF licence covers your liability to take part in our events it doesn’t cover your equipment, so please make sure you have our own insurance to cover this sufficiently.
